General Information

Attendance at Scientific Sessions

The conference is accredited with the University of Health Sciences for allocation of credit hours. Attendance in scientific sessions is mandatory to avail the credit hours. Please ensure that you mark your attendance in each session that you attend. The attendance sheet will be circulated in the hall by the hall organizers.
In order to avail credit points, the speakers are requested to mark their attendance for which attendance sheet will be available with the moderator of the session.
The scientific committee endeavors to provide academic material par excellence and we have tried to ensure that each attending delegate will find scientific material according to their need and liking. To make this all possible, the organizing committee requests the delegates to arrive in the halls well in time before the start of each session. The first and the last sessions are especially critical for credit hours. To encourage attendance in the morning session, the organizing committee has kept surprise gifts, which will be picked by ballot out of the first fifty delegates of each session. 

Speaker Preview Room

The speaker preview room is located adjacent to the scientific hall in the foyer area. All speakers should upload their presentation in the Speaker Preview Room at the earliest opportunity and no later than six hours before the start of the session in which their presentation will take place. For the first day the presentation can be emailed at least two days in advance for smooth running of the session. If the session is early in the morning, you may wish to check in your presentation the day before. Technical staff will be on hand in the speaker preview room to check your presentation and download it on to the Secretariat’s Computer. It will then be networked to the room in which you are scheduled to speak.
Please note that personal laptops are not allowed for presentations.

Questions to Speakers

10 - 20 minutes have been delegated in each session to answer questions from the audience and encourage a healthy discussion. Delegates wishing to ask questions from speakers during the scientific sessions can ask their questions at the end of the session after the permission from the chair.

Photography

Conference photographer will be available during all three days of the conference. Selfies are not encouraged during the sessions. Please avail the selfie counters where conference backdrop will be available.

Accompanying Persons

  1. All accompanying persons have to be registered.
  2. For registered accompanying person the fee covers attendance at the Inaugural Ceremony on 17th March 2017 and entry to the Exhibition.
  3. The fee does not include access to scientific sessions, lunches, high tea.
  4. Card for banquet will be purchase separately depending on availability.

  

Badges

  1. For registered person the badges have to be worn in the time during the conference.
  2. The Badge gives access to scientific sessions, the exhibition, the Inaugural Ceremony, as per their colour coding.
  3. Duplicate badges will only be issued on production of valid photo identity and payment of Rs 500.

Food Coupons

  1. The registration fee for Faculty and Delegates includes inaugural tea, banquet dinner, lunch and tea / coffee on the three days of the Congress. To ensure efficient catering for the large number of delegates, lunch maybe served at different locations as denoted by the colour of the coupons.
  2. The colour of your coupons clearly identifies the location of the lunch areas. Please access the designated area as specifically identified by your coupons. Color coded food coupon have to presented at all the lunches and tea to enter the food area.
  3. Entry will be denied even to registered delegates, without coupon and name badges.
  4. Unregistered personnel and children will not be allowed entry to the food area and scientific sessions.
  5. One set of coupons will be handed over to each of the registered delegate with their bags. This will contain 3 coupons for lunch on 17, 18 and 19 March respectively which will be colour coded to denote the location for the lunch service.

Consumption of food & water

Drink only bottled water and check that the seal is intact when you receive it. Avoid food and drinks from street vendors.

Delegates List

The delegates list will be available on notice boards near the registration counters.

Departures

For international flights, passengers are usually required to check in 3 hours prior to flight departure. The hotel usually provide pick and drop service to the airport. Please ensure that you ask for this service at the reception of your hotel.

Insurance & Liability

The Organizers are unable to accept any responsibility for damage or loss of personal property during the congress and delegates are advised to ensure that such items are adequately insured.

International Calls

The Country Code for Pakistan is ’92′ followed by the Lahore City Code ’42′, followed by an
eight digit telephone number, e.g. 92-42 XXXX XXXX. The international access code when dialing out of Pakistan is “00”.

Language

English is widely spoken in Lahore and the rest of the country, except in rural areas.

Message Board

A message board is located close to the Registration counters. Delegates are welcome to use this board to leave messages for fellow delegates.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed inside banquet halls and corridors.

Tipping

There is no compulsion to tip anyone for any service rendered. If you choose to do so, the traditional tip is 10%, rounded off.
